Here’s why we need to read Bible verses on God’s goodness.
The writer of the book of Hebrews tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please God:
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 ESV.
Well, we know God is good. He has done so many great and mighty things and he has been good to us.
But sometimes in our trials, it might not always feel that way. So we must continue to approach him in faith and hide ourselves in his word:
Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! Psalm 31:19 ESV
What does the Bible say about the goodness of God?
It’s more than about what he does. It’s more about Who He Is! And his unchanging, everlasting goodness:
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. Nahum 1:7 ESV
When we dig deeper, there are more details. Again and again, we are reminded of his everlasting goodness!
What does God’s goodness mean?
God’s perfect goodness means that we can always trust him, no matter what. We can always trust him, because:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.” James 1:17, WEB
How do you acknowledge the Goodness of God?
Praise the Lord! It develops our faith and propels it into action.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
What does the Bible say about goodness?
Goodness is godliness. We show our godliness by goodness that comes from a pure heart.
“Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever.” Psalm 23:6, WEB

Final Thoughts
The goodness of God manifests in many ways that we can see around us.
The fact that He allowed us to share in His likeness so that we can have the opportunity of being the closest creatures to Him shows that He is good indeed.
If God does not mark iniquity, but provides the solution to the problem of sin, by allowing His only begotten son to die a painful death on the cross for the sin of man, then He is good indeed.
If God has been providing for our needs, watching over us all the time, sending help to us when we need one, and sustaining us in all areas of lives, then He is good indeed.
If God has been good to you, and you know it, how have you responded back to Him? Do you always praise Him for all His goodness in your life?
Remember that you are created for His pleasure, and He commands you to give thanks always.
Is your Faith Founded on Fact? Have you committed to follow Jesus?
