This list of Bible verses on God’s Protection reminds us how these saints learned to rely on the Sovereign Lord.
Many Bible heroes learned to trust in God’s protection in challenging times.
All Believers need to learn the same lesson today. So we need to find these Bible stories and fuel our faith.
When the God of the Bible called these Bible heroes to greatness, great things happened. Why? Because they learned that God’s power and love are greater than any circumstance.
Once they realized that, they knew they could rely on God.
In Exodus 14, God told Moses that he would fight for the defenseless Israelites against Pharaoh’s mighty army. Emboldened by the Word of God, Moses told the Israelites:
“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Exodus 14:14
In Acts 12:5-17
God sent his Angel to get Peter out of prison as many were praying constantly for his release. When Peter showed up at their door, they thought their eyes were fooling them.
There are many other examples of God’s protection for the saints throughout the Bible.
Some people conspired against Daniel, and they succeeded in making the king throw him into the lion’s den.
Their intention was to get Daniel killed at all cost, because he was getting all the honors, awards, and promotions from the king, being the most loyal, dedicated, and forthright officer in his cabinet.
Daniel got into the lion’s den, spent the whole night there, and came out alive the next day unhurt. He later told the king that God shut the mouth of the lions so that they could not attack him.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to the idol raised by Nebuchadnezzar, after the king had commanded that everybody in his kingdom should bow down and worship, once they hear the sound of music in praise of the idol.
The three Hebrews told the king that they believed in the Almighty God, and He is the only one they can worship.
The king threatens them with death in a fiery furnace, but they told the king that their God can deliver them, and should he refused to do so, they will still not bow down to the idol.
The king got angry, and commanded that the fire be made seven times hotter than it used to be.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were tied and thrown into the hot fiery furnace. The heat of the fire was so much that it killed the men that threw them inside, while the three men landed in the midst of the fire.
He was forced to acknowledge the supremacy of the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and commanded that everyone in his realm should worship Him.
Who can battle with the Lord?
When little David confronted giant Goliath in a battle, he had no real weapon except for his shepherd’s sling. Goliath was so disgusted at the sight of David that he called him a dog.
He boasted of how he will kill David and cursed him in the name of his God, but David told him he had come in the name of the God of Israel.
Ordinarily, the stone that came from the sling of David could not have had any effect on the giant, but because God was with him, the stone located the only area that was vulnerable in his armor – his forehead, and brought him down hard on the ground.
In no time, David ran towards the fallen giant, took his sword and cut off his head.

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. …

Final Thoughts
The God who did all these spectacular deliverances is still alive today. He is still the same, and He has not changed a bit.
What He did in the times of the heroes of faith that we read about in the Bible, He can do in our time, if only we can be as obedient to Him as those people were.
“Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2.
God is looking for people who will repeat history. Those who will allow Him to show the world that He alone can deliver from all evils, and protect against all forms of attack.
Come and join the heroes of faith and be one of the faithful.
