Are There Scientific Facts in the Bible?
There are many things written in the Bible which science has confirmed. Some of them include:
Earth’s Sphericity
For many years people have believed that the earth is flat, and if anyone travels too far on the surface of the earth, he might get to the edge and fall off into an endless pit.
Modern science has proved this wrong and has shown that the earth is not flat but spherical, like all other planetary bodies. This confirms what the Bible said 2700 years ago: “God’s throne is on the circle of the earth.” Isaiah 40:22
Job 26:7
“He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.”
Many people have wondered what and where the earth is resting upon. Many years back, people believed the earth was resting upon a turtle and the turtle on a serpent. Later it was changed to Atlas, a superman figure who was carrying the earth upon his shoulder.
The book of Job written over 3000 years ago had given insight into the mystery, which modern science has supported. The earth is floating in space, with gravitational pull holding it in an orbit around the sun.

Do Scientists Believe in The Bible?
In principle, science and the Bible agree perfectly when properly understood.
Christianity is an evidence-based faith. Many statements of fact from the Bible form not only the basis of knowledge, but also wisdom.
When Jesus confronted Doubting Thomas with his nail-scarred hands, he pointed to the evidence:

What did Jesus present to Thomas? Evidence.
What did Thomas respond to? Evidence.
And that’s how science works. We develop a hypothesis and attempt to prove it or disprove it with evidence.

And logic is a system of laws. Where do laws come from? A lawmaker.
The major scientific laws are universal laws -that point to a universal lawmaker.
The God of the Bible is a Universal God. This is entirely consistent with what we see in nature. And it’s entirely consistent with Genesis 1:1.

So then, is it any surprise that many of the scientists who discovered these great laws were themselves -not only Christians- but clergymen?

He will give people insights into new things that have not been seen, so that man can continue to manifest the original mandate of dominion that He gave to Adam and Eve after He created them.
